While we’re all still celebrating our Newton Shield success, it’s also a fantastic opportunity to recognise the strength of our thriving junior section.
With over 170 junior members, the future of Old Ranfurly Golf Club is in great hands. The success of our junior programme was reflected in this year’s Newton Shield-winning team, with Ben Love and Scott Palin playing key roles throughout the campaign, contributing valuable points week after week on the road to victory.
Their performances are a testament not only to their hard work and dedication, but also to the quality of the pathway available to young golfers at the club.
A special mention must also go to our resident professional, David McCallum, who has played a huge part in the development of our junior section over many years. His commitment, coaching and encouragement have helped countless young golfers improve their game, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of golf.
The achievements of Ben and Scott show what can be accomplished through dedication, support and a strong club environment. We are incredibly proud of them and of all our juniors who continue to represent Old Ranfurly with enthusiasm both on and off the course.
