Over one hundred golfers gathered to battle it out for a place in the Grand Final at Old Course Ranfurly on Wednesday in the second event of the PING Scottish Open Series.  As a club, we were delighted to be able to host this Scottish Golf event, and it was a pleasure to welcome so many golfers in stunning conditions.

It was a home member win for Old Course Ranfurly as, Stuart Rae, came out on top in the Renfrewshire club to secure his place at the PING Scottish Open Series Grand Final later this summer. Rae’s local knowledge of the course paid off as he carded a nett score of 67. Progressing through to the Grand Final at Dundonald Links with him in August are Steven Cockburn (Craigielaw Golf Club) who birdied the 5th and 7th and carded a nett 67, as well as Lynne Badger (Douglas Park Golf Club) who finished her round in third place overall with a nett score of 68, having previously finished in second place at the 2022 Grand Final event.

Other highlights of the day included Peter Griffin (Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club) who not only birdied the 2nd and 4th but also got a hole-in-one at the 7th.

The final leaderboard for the event at Old Course Ranfurly Ltd is available to view in full online here or via the Scottish Golf App.
